Ellie Sax chooses Halifax to launch major new immersive music experience ahead of UK and European tour
Faithful Ibiza to transform historic Halifax Minster with spectacular 3D projection mapping, live performances and special guests Utah Saints on 16 December 2026.
Halifax has been chosen as the launch destination for an ambitious new immersive music experience that will tour iconic historic venues across the UK and Europe in 2027, with internationally acclaimed performer Ellie Sax bringing Faithful Ibiza to Halifax Minster on Wednesday 16 December 2026.
In a major new chapter for Ellie Sax and her husband and creative partner Harry, Faithful Ibiza will combine the euphoric energy of Ibiza’s dance music scene with cutting-edge 3D projection mapping, immersive lighting and live performances, transforming some of Europe’s most remarkable historic buildings into extraordinary entertainment spaces.
The spectacular debut at Halifax Minster will see the centuries-old building transformed into an immersive visual and musical experience, with Ellie Sax headlining alongside legendary electronic music duo Utah Saints and a specially reunited choir with a deeply personal connection to the couple.
Having previously attracted crowds of nearly 10,000 to their performances at Halifax’s iconic Piece Hall, Ellie and Harry have deliberately chosen to bring the first event in their ambitious new series back to the town that has supported them throughout their journey.
For the couple, there was simply no better home for the launch of Faithful Ibiza than Halifax.
There Is No Better Home Than Halifax
Halifax holds a particularly special place in the hearts of Ellie and Harry. The pair have enjoyed an incredible relationship with Halifax audiences over the years, including performances at The Piece Hall, both alongside Ministry of Sound and through their own events, attracting crowds of nearly 10,000 people.
The event also carries a deeply personal connection to Halifax Minster itself.
Reverend Andy Barber, the Minster’s vicar, previously ran the choir alongside Harry’s late mother, who sadly passed away shortly before their Piece Hall performance.
In a meaningful tribute, the choir will be brought back together to perform as part of Faithful Ibiza, creating an emotional connection between the venue, its community and the music.
Historic Architecture Meets Ibiza Energy
Faithful Ibiza will bring together the euphoric sounds of Ibiza, live performances and immersive technology.
Through large-scale 3D projection mapping and architectural lighting, each historic venue will become a living canvas, with visuals moving in harmony with the music.
The Beginning of a UK and European Tour
Halifax Minster on 16 December 2026 will mark the first chapter of a much bigger vision.
Faithful Ibiza is set to tour the UK and Europe throughout 2027, with each event designed around the individual venue’s architecture, history and atmosphere to create a unique experience.
Official Press Statement
“Halifax has always held such a special place in our hearts. We’ve been incredibly lucky to perform at The Piece Hall over the years, both with Ministry of Sound and at our own shows, and the support we’ve received from the Halifax crowds has been absolutely phenomenal.
“When we started developing Faithful Ibiza, we knew we wanted to create something completely different. We wanted to take the energy, atmosphere and music of Ibiza and bring it into some of the most beautiful and historic buildings across the UK and Europe, using immersive technology to make the buildings themselves part of the experience.
“But for us, there was absolutely no better home for Faithful Ibiza than Halifax. It’s a town that has supported us throughout our journey, and being able to launch something this special here means the world to us.
“Halifax Minster also has a very personal connection to our family. Andy Barber used to run the choir with Harry’s mum before she sadly passed away, so bringing that choir back together for this event is going to be an incredibly emotional and special moment.
“To have Utah Saints joining us, the choir performing and the whole Minster transformed through 3D projection mapping on 16 December is going to be something really special.
“This is just the beginning of Faithful Ibiza. We’ve got big plans to take the concept across the UK and Europe in 2027, but we couldn’t imagine starting this journey anywhere else. Halifax has given us so much love over the years, and now we want to give something truly unforgettable back.”
